Proceeds benefit Take Stock In Children scholarship and mentoring program for local kids, Grants for Great Ideas (a grant program for classroom teachers), and the Greener Grass Employee Tuition Assistance.  Everyone from rocking chair champions to serious competitors are invited to join us on at the corner of 10th Court and Balboa Avenue for the 5K. Pre-registration and on-site registration will be available. A brunch and awards ceremony will follow.

  • Superintendent's Silver Shoe Award  This rotating award is given to the fastest school, determined by the average times of the top three runners from each school.  The award will be presented by the Superintendent with much hoopla at a school board meeting in June and will go home to live with the winning school until the next race.  Runners & Walkers can choose a school affiliation when they register. You need not be affiliated with a school to participate!
