Excellence in Education celebrates outstanding Bay District Schools educators. Each school selects a Teacher of the Year and, when applicable, a Rookie of the Year. Finalists move through applications and interviews, culminating in a statewide gala where the Florida Teacher of the Year is announced. Each January, Bay Ed Foundation partners with the BDS Office of Communications to honor these exceptional teachers at the Awards of Excellence.
