Excellence in Education is a recognition program for outstanding educators in Bay District Schools. Each building selects a Teacher of the Year and possibly a Rookie of the Year. From there, teachers complete a process of applications and interviews to continue moving through the process, which begins in September and ends in July with a statewide gala. In January of each year, the Office of Communications teams with Bay Ed Foundation to present the Awards of Excellence and recognize our outstanding teachers.

We are thrilled that our 2023 Bay District Schools Teacher of the Year, Adrianna Swearingen, has made it to the TOP FIVE statewide. We are very proud!
